A most enjoyable stay in the first floor rear room with Juliet balcony. The room was light and airy, the large bed comfortable and the TV far larger than our at home with comfortable chairs! Karen was a friendly and helpful host providing an excellent cooked breakfast in the pleasant large breakfast room/kitchen. There is ample parking on site which is a real plus. It was a bonus to learn that Chuck Yeager (first man to break the sound barrier in 1947) had stayed here when visiting RAF Leiston airbase nearby (where he flew Mustangs in WW2) and had left signed books of his exploits.

The Tirah B&B is spacious well decorated and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were excellent and the bed was large and very comfy. The service too was excellent and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble - as we can testify having locked ourselves out by losing our key late at night!

Tirah was a very warm and welcoming guest house. Karen, the host was very polite and friendly. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed even down to fresh milk in the fridge. We had a parking space outside our window which was nice. The breakfast was second to none. Best porridge I’d ever had! Lots of choices. Veggie option too! Karen even got plum tomatoes for my husband as he didn’t like English tomato. You can sit out in the garden and enjoy the peace and quiet. This place is excellent and we can both highly recommend a visit. 🙂

An unfortunately shortened short break due to the weather gods, but what an enjoyable time nevertheless. Warmly greeted and shown around this little haven some 5 minutes from Aldeburgh. Spotlessly clean and comfortable - two lounge chairs in our room were very much appreciated as was the large "room for 2" shower with great water pressure.Breakfast is served adjacent to the airy and modern kitchen; in this day and age of covid, we were assigned the same table for the whole stay - which makes perfect sense when you think about. A varied and extensive menu, excellently cooked to order left us ready for whatever the weather was going to throw at us for the two days we did stay.

We had 3 nights at the Tirah B&B last week. It was great. The first thing you notice is how modern and clean it looks. The quality of furnishings and fittings is really good. The room we had was a good size, the bathroom and shower were also nice and spacious. The breakfasts were good quality and filling. The location is ideal as a base for travelling out and about, plus it was nice and quiet, no noise from anything at all. The roses in the back garden were all in bloom; proper roses, in as much as they smell as roses should do. Host Karen is lovely, and was helpful with useful information about places we and other guests intended to visit. I would thoroughly recommend the Tirah to family, friends, and anyone else.

Very warm welcome from owner Karen, told we had been given an upgrade which was a nice surprise. The place was spotless and room amenities above and beyond that expected of a small B & B. Just occasionally you find a hotel or Guest House that's so good that you don't want to share the news with anyone for fear that next time you want to book it'll be full. Not so in this case - because it's so good you want to shout about it from the rooftops just to show how clever you are for finding it. Lovely Welcome, spotlessly clean comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast and superb location close to Aldeburgh and Thorpeness yet within easy driving distance from Dunwich, Walberswick and Southwold. You'll love it but please don't all stay just when I want to go back!

The room was spotless and the breakfast excellent. The large garden was full of beautiful roses.Karen was a marvellous hostess and took every trouble to ensure our comfort.

Full English breakfasts are commendable , we were allowed to use the facilties if we needed to eat during the day .We have travelled a lot in our time and stayed in many places , rate this as one of the best , Steve even drove us into town one evening so we could enjoy a bottle of wine ,and get a taxi back ( thanks Steve ).

Tirah is perfect as a base for enjoying Aldeburgh and the surrounding area or just as a relaxing holiday. The hosts, Karen and Steve are friendly, engaging people who go out of their way to make your stay amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and their breakfasts are huge and fantastic. The house and rooms are very modern, but have not lost their original charm.

This is a well-kept, clean B&B in a good location, with plenty of options for walking in the woods opposite leading to the coast. The breakfast, perfectly cooked using local produce, was exceptionally good, and the friendly hospitality excellent. Plenty of off-street parking. A pub within walking distance just up the road does reasonable food, and there are plenty of options for good eating in Aldeburgh. There are a couple of reasons for not awarding 5 stars; the bed and pillows were too soft for us, and the bed described on Booking.com as a King size was actually like two singles pushed together, which is never as comfortable. The TV in the room was very small, and located too far away to watch in bed.A welcome addition would have been cafetiere coffee and perhaps some fruit teas in the room, (although many hotels actually don't provide these).

Tirah is a very well run guest house. Our room was spotless and well furnished. Lovely breakfast in a light airy dining room, all perfect. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Aldringham is an ideal base when visiting the local nature attractions such as Minsmere.

Just come back from a lovely two night break in Aldeburgh. Having looked at the Trip Adviser reviews beforehand, the Tirah Guest House didnt disappoint. We were made very welcome, the room (5) was clean and spacious, and the breakfasts delightful. Highly recommended. Lesley and Peter Crook

We had a very enjoyable two night stay at the Tirah. Everything from Steve's warm welcome on arrival to the spotlessly clean, well presented rooms, from the fresh milk offered for tea in our rooms to the delicious breakfasts individually cooked for us and the general friendliness and hospitality of Steve and Karen just made our stay an ideal break. We intend to return and we will certainly be recommending a stay at the Tirah to our friends! Thank you Steve and Karen - keep up your great work!

We had a brilliant stay at Tirah Guest House. We were made to feel extremely welcome and felt like they could not do enough for us. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. It was close to the places we wanted to visit and there was some good restaurants nearby as recommended in the information in the room. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. It was made to order and very prompt when we arrived in the dining room. The hosts were extremely welcoming, friendly and attentive. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at Tirah for the 2nd time and everything as perfect as it was the 1st time. Steve & Karen make your stay so nice with time to spare for a chat and laugh. Rooms and ensuite are both welcoming and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is first class with locally sourced bacon eggs and very good sausages. I tell anyone travelling in Suffolk to stop off at Tirah Guest House for a peacsful stay and great hosts.

An exceptional B&B.We stay in a lot of B&Bs in the course of year - mainly in connection with walking holidays - and have seldom come across one of this standard. What made it really special was the friendliness of Steve and Karen who went to a lot of trouble to make us feel welcome.

Tirah was a pleasurable experience hosted by a wonderful couple Steve& Karen. Our room as with the rest of the establishment was spotlessly clean with not a towel out of place. Will return with other golfing couples as Thorpeness and Aldeburgh both less than 5 mins drive away.

We stayed at the Tirah for a weekend in September and it is better than the pictures, we were amazed at how clean and modern the Tirah is, the bathroom was so clean you could eat off the floor with modern chrome fittings that gave it a five star finish. Steve & Karen were lovely hosts and made the stay very inviting and helpful with information about the area.It is so refreshing to find a B&B that is doesn't look like my grandmothers house and it could beat many 4/5 star hotels in the area.I will definitely be coming here again and will be recommending it to my friends and family.

Very good throughout with a fine breakfast both mornings...everything perfectly clean , new, and fresh feeling, and friendly hosts. Only one possible criticism....although perfectly comfortable, the mattress was of the cheaper variety. Nice to have fresh milk in the room rather than that awful stuff in mini tubs! Will definitely go back.
